About the role
As a Research Finance Officer, you will be responsible for financial management for research projects, from initial project set-up through to final closure. You will support Senior Research Finance Officers and collaborate with colleagues across the Research and Innovation Team.
While experience within the higher education sector is desirable, candidates without direct HE experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants who can demonstrate relevant transferable skills—particularly in project accounting, financial management, or stakeholder engagement—will be fully considered
About you
You will have a high level of financial literacy, developing an in-depth knowledge of finance systems used to support financial management of our research and consultancy projects. You will be involved in setting up projects including budgets, raising invoices, creating and posting journals.

Eligibility
