About LSE Cities
LSE Cities is a dynamic research centre at the London School of Economics and Political Science, dedicated to studying how the world's cities are shaped and transformed. We foster cutting-edge research, convene impactful events, and develop future leaders in urban development.
About the role
In the context of the significant expansion of activity associated with the Bloomberg LSE European City Leadership Initiative, the role combines operational office management and administrative support to the Centre Manager with high-level executive assistance to the Director and Executive Director in their roles as Co-Chairs of the Initiative. The postholder will play a critical part in ensuring that the Centre’s systems, governance and administrative infrastructure are sufficiently robust and professional to support the Centre’s substantially increased staffing, international engagement, high-level external partnerships and programme delivery linked to the Initiative.
Candidates should have proven experience of managing day-to-day office administration, ideally within a higher education or research environment, and of providing high-level executive support to senior staff. The role requires strong organisational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a proactive, service-oriented approach. Please note that this post requires daily office presence and is not suitable for hybrid working.
We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, and excellent training and development opportunities.
