Role Description
The School of Arts & Creative Technologies is seeking to recruit an Associate Lecturer for 19 weeks fixed term, 0.56FTE, to support teaching and learning on our Theatre programmes.
The School of Arts & Creative Technologies aims to lead nationally and internationally in teaching, research and external engagement across a wide range of artistic and technological domains. Our approach to music, theatre, film, television, games and immersive-interactive experiences blends theory with practice, academic excellence with vocational relevance, and creativity with technological innovation.
Role
The main purpose of this role is to support teaching on our undergraduate programme, Theatre: Writing, Directing and Performance. This will include designing and delivering lectures, seminars, workshops, contributing to assessment and marking, pastoral supervision of students, liaising on behalf of the Theatre team with the School and University Careers teams, collaborating with staff to deliver appropriate and engaging teaching material. In particular, this role will involve practical teaching specialisms in at least one and ideally both of the following areas:
