About the role
As a Web Content Developer you will be a key player in a significant website improvement project. Working alongside specialists in UX design, web development, brand and student recruitment marketing, you will create user-centric content for prospective students. This is a fast-paced role working on high-impact digital experiences that bring together meeting user needs with delivering against critical business goals.

The role holder will:

  • Build landing and content pages within the TerminalFour content management system (CMS).
  • Enhance content visibility through SEO and AI-visibility optimisation.
  • Apply good content design practice, including using content audits, assessments of user needs and clear content plans to ensure every page meets clear goals.
  • Define success metrics for your projects and make iterative, data-driven improvements to the user journey.
  • Work closely with an inter-disciplinary team and with a range of colleagues and stakeholders across student recruitment marketing teams.

We work in a hybrid way, with a requirement for on-campus working at least one day per week. The role is not available for fully remote working.

About the team
Based in Digital and Creative Services within Communications, this role is part of a new Student Recruitment Web Team. Created specifically to enhance and optimise our website for student recruitment, this is a team of four (3x Web Content Developers and a team lead) dedicated to this work.

The new team will work closely with others in Digital and Creative Services (including web/UX designers, front-end developers, graphic designers, photography and video producers and other content specialists) and with colleagues in Marketing (including student recruitment marketing teams with specialisms in undergraduate, postgraduate, international and faculty marketing).

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Proven ability to produce top quality, user-focused, persuasive web content.
  • Experience using CMS platforms to build attractive, usable websites.
  • A solid grasp of SEO principles and an active interest in how content interacts with emerging AI technologies.
  • Experience of using good content design practices to inform content decisions and ensure websites meet actual user needs.
  • Ability to consider the whole user journey, empathise with the website user and come up with positive, interesting ideas to improve the site.
