Oxford University Event Venues (OUEV) manages a unique portfolio of prestigious and historic spaces as event venues and visitor attractions. This includes the city centre’s largest venue, the Examination Schools and the University’s ceremonial hall, the Sheldonian Theatre.
Hosting in excess of 450 events each year, the team supports a diverse range of customers with events such as conferences and exhibitions to weddings, performances, and graduation ceremonies.
The Sheldonian Theatre is a thriving visitor attraction welcoming thousands of visitors every year for guided tours and activities.
About the Role
As an Event Venues Coordinator, you will be responsible for the planning, delivery and sales of a wide range of events across our portfolio. Acting as the key point of contact for customers, you will build strong relationships, understand and interpret requirements, and develop tailored proposals to secure sales with the aim of delivering both an exceptional experience and commercial value.
You will manage events from initial enquiry to point of sale, through to delivery on the day, coordinating logistics, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring all operational details are carefully executed. This includes preparing documentation, maintaining accurate systems, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless execution.
This is a varied and fast-paced role offering the opportunity to work in unique spaces, contribute to high-profile events, and develop a broad range of skills.
