About the Role
The Global Engagement Office at Queen Mary are seeking to appoint an International Pathways and Sponsor Relations Manager. This role is fixed term to cover maternity leave, for one year, or until the early return of the post holder.
The purpose of this role is to support the wider Global Engagement team in delivering the University’s international objectives as outlined in Queen Mary Strategy 2030. The post holder will draw on their expertise in marketing, sponsor relations and recruitment to develop and implement innovative approaches that contribute to the success of this strategy.
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience in international higher education, preferably in a recruitment or marketing context.
We are seeking a highly motivated and confident individual who can work independently and take initiative. Strong relationship management skills are essential, as the role involves building and maintaining effective partnerships with a wide range of external stakeholders. The post holder will also collaborate across the university with both academic and professional services staff and must be able to manage a demanding and varied workload.

You will join a forward-thinking, solution-focused team within the External Relations Directorate is responsible for raising the awareness and reputation of Queen Mary among its target audiences, and for increasing the quality and quantity of Queen Mary applicants. We collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, supporting staff, students and prospective students to achieve more.

The post is based at Department W, our building for Professional Services staff at Queen Mary in Whitechapel. It is full-time, permanent appointment, with an expected start date in September 2025. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £44,288-£51,755 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
