About the Role
Queen Mary University of London is seeking an exceptional candidate for the role of Vice-Principal for Humanities and Social Sciences and member of its Senior Executive Team. This individual will provide strong and inspirational leadership not only within one of the University’s three faculties but more broadly across the institution. We have an outstanding heritage and expertise across the humanities and social sciences and are seeking a Vice-Principal with the vision and proven ability to shape the faculty, and build a financially robust model, within an ever-changing, and currently challenging, global environment.

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) continues to play a vital role in Queen Mary’s mission, balancing world-class research output with a commitment to widening participation and delivering transformative education. With more than 10,000 students and 600 staff across five academic Schools, HSS is a significant contributor to the University’s success. The Faculty is in an exciting phase of change, underpinned by a focus on innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and addressing global challenges.
