About the role

The Blavatnik School of Government has acquired St Paul’s Church in Jericho, Oxford, an early nineteenth-century building and an important part of the local architectural and community heritage. The School’s immediate priority is to undertake essential work to stabilise the building, prevent further deterioration, and ensure it meets safety requirements, while exploring how it could support the School’s mission and the wider Oxford community in the future.

The project will be delivered by University Capital Projects on the School’s behalf. The School is seeking to appoint a client Project Manager to lead internally, liaising with the Capital Projects team, coordinating requirements, and bringing together stakeholders. Working with colleagues, Estates Services, external consultants, contractors, and local stakeholders, the postholder will ensure the project progresses effectively, is well-governed, and aligned with the School’s strategic objectives.

About You

You will lead the day-to-day internal management of the St Paul’s Church project on behalf of the Blavatnik School of Government, representing the School’s requirements as the client and user of the building to University Capital Projects and University Estates Services. You will develop and maintain the overall internal project plan, coordinate internal strands of the project, monitor progress, and support oversight of project budgets to ensure effective delivery, accountability, and alignment with the School’s strategic objectives.

You will act as a primary operational contact for project-related matters, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and coordinating clear and timely communications. You will support project governance and reporting, prepare briefing papers for senior leadership, and coordinate approvals. You will also support the School in exploring long-term options for the building’s future use, assisting with feasibility work, stakeholder consultation, and strategic planning.

Application Process

You will be required to upload a supporting statement, your CV and the details of two referees as part of your online application.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon (UK time) on Monday, 13 April 2026.

Interviews will take place during the week commencing 20 April 2026 and will be held in-person at the School.
