Are you an experienced Clinical Healthcare Professional who can teach to an undergraduate or postgraduate level in a clinical or academic setting? Do you also have an excellent academic track record of teaching? If so, we would welcome an application from you.

The Kent and Medway Medical School are seeking a Senior Lecturer in Medical Education (Lead for Interprofessional Education who is a committed educator and role model to lead interprofessional education (IPE) activities and learning within the KMMS undergraduate programme. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, as well as the design, delivery, and quality assurance of IPE activities across the School, in collaboration with colleagues involved in health and social care programmes at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU), the Physician Associate programme, and the Medway School of Pharmacy (MSoP). The postholder will also assume responsibility for overseeing the IPE strategy.

As Senior Lecturer in Medical Education (Lead for Interprofessional Education) you can expect to be involved in:

  • Working in close partnership with the academic and professional services team to deliver the IPE strategy.
  • Championing interprofessional education across the medical school. 
  • Delivering and contributing to the design and delivery of high-quality, demand-driven, and student-centered taught programmes.

What will you bring to the role?

  • An evidence-based working knowledge of the principles of multidisciplinary learning
  • A primary degree or equivalent in a subject related to the undergraduate medical programme at KMMS 
  • Academic credibility with a track record of excellence in teaching  
  • Experience of teaching undergraduate or postgraduate students in a clinical or academic setting
