Hours: Full Time, Part Time
Contract Type: Fixed-Term/Contract
Placed On: 31st March 2026

We are a world class research-intensive university. We deliver teaching and learning of the highest quality. We play a leading role in economic, social and cultural development of the North East of England. Attracting and retaining high-calibre people is fundamental to our continued success.

The Role
The role sits within The Bubble Foundation, a unique charity dedicated to supporting children born with severe immune deficiencies. You will play a key part in raising vital funds and awareness by strengthening how we communicate with patients and families, engaging the public, and expanding our digital presence. Working independently, you'll shape engaging social media content, nurture supporter relationships, enhance our social media channels, and identify new opportunities to increase donations through both digital and in-person initiatives and help build a stronger, more visible Bubble Foundation.

Since 1993, The Bubble Foundation has supported families whose children require bone marrow transplantation. The Bubble Foundation is more than a charity – we are a lifeline for families facing the unimaginable. Our support goes beyond medical treatment; we bring warmth, kindness, and a sense of home to those who need it most. As our communications and fundraising lead, you’ll bring creativity, confidence, and initiative to how we connect with patients, families, and the wider public.

The charity operates independently and in partnership with Newcastle University and the Great North Children’s Hospital to advance vital research and improve care.

To apply for this position, we will need your CV and ideally a personal statement outlining how you are suitable for the role. Please focus your personal statement on the below points using examples where possible:

  • Proactively seek new supporters in communities across the North of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland.
  • Experience of dealing with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, resolving issues and queries independently.
  • Experience in the creation of digital fundraising opportunities, for example, through events and networking.

We offer a hybrid and flexible working model. Both full-time and part-time applications will be considered.

This post is tenable for 2 years initially.
