As Finance Assistant (part-time 0.5FTE) for the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine (CVMed), you will play a key role in managing the Division’s financial operations. As a core member of our friendly team of Finance professionals, you will be responsible for ensuring financial transactions are processed and recorded accurately, and provide a comprehensive purchasing service to University administered research groups and core staff within the division.

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include checking purchase requisitions to ensure they are completed in accordance with University financial regulations, policies, and procedures. You will be responsible for the preparation and processing of invoices for payment. The Finance Assistant will ensure swift resolution of queries and potential procurement issues that may arise from both suppliers and users.

About you

You will be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), and hold proven experience of working in an administrative environment. Excellent communication and organisational skills, including the ability to proactively organise your workload and prioritise tasks to meet competing deadlines, are also essential. Experience using the Oracle Financial system, and experience of academic/general administration within a Higher Education or related environment will be an advantage.
