About the role

We are implementing a new ERP system in November 2026. This is a significant project for Imperial creating high levels of business process changes across People, Finance and Research. We are due to go live in November 2026 and require support with preparatory work such as the parallel payroll run to sufficiently test the new system prior to going live.
This post will perform HR related processes within the new system in a test environment to enable us to reconcile payroll and ensure it is working as expected. Following this phase, the roles will be placed within the Staff Hub supporting go live activities and the hypercare period.

What you would be doing

Parallel Payroll Run

  • Input HR transactions into the ERP such as contract change requests, additional payments.
  • Perform all roles within the process to deliver end to end transactions.
  • Work with the Programme Team and Payroll to identify discrepancies of Payroll runs.
  • Input data as required to enable the payroll processes to run and be reconciled.

Cutover Support

  • Input any retrospective requests or new starters during the ‘shutdown/cutover’ period in October into the new system in November where data could not be migrated.

Hypercare Support

  • Work in the Staff Hub Operations Team providing front line support to users of the new system.
  • Respond to queries from users of the system within agreed SLAs.
  • Prioritise own workload effectively to manage incoming requests and queries.
  • Triage tickets to the appropriate team and escalate where required to accurately allocate work.
  • Support other People Function Teams as required operationally.
  • Provide high levels of service to users to ensure a smooth transition period.

We are seeking individuals who can work at pace with high levels of accuracy.

This is initially a role that requires the ability to process high volumes of data and perform repetitive tasks.

As the programme progresses, there will be an opportunity to learn more about Imperial's HR processes to enable you to support with the period of hypercare where you will be providing high levels of service and support to users of the new system. The ability to communicate well with a range of stakeholders through various channels is required,

Further information

This is full time, fixed term position until 31 March 2027. You will be based at White City Campus.
