Job description:
Are you an experienced Project Administrator who enjoys working collaboratively? We have an exciting opportunity to join us in the Division of Population Health in the School of Medicine and Population Health. The role is to support a process and outcomes evaluation of the Public Health Intervention Responsive Studies Teams (PHIRST) scheme (https://phirst.nihr.ac.uk/) and is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Public Health Research (PHR) Programme.
The post-holder will set up and manage administrative systems and ensure project timelines are adhered to. The role will involve development and maintenance of work processes to support the evaluation. This requires the application of established project management methods and the use of University finance and contracting systems. You will work closely with the evaluation’s Project Manager and the wider team, and you will liaise with external staff at NIHR, professional and public stakeholders, and other collaborators.
We are seeking an excellent organiser, who is a competent user of the Microsoft Office Suite, and has the ability to use their own initiative to solve problems. You will have impeccable attention to detail, respect for confidentiality and proven budget management and research project management experience, ideally in an academic research environment.
The University of Sheffield is a remarkable place to work. Our people are at the heart of everything we do. Their diverse backgrounds, abilities and beliefs make Sheffield a world-class university.
We offer a fantastic range of benefits including a highly competitive annual leave entitlement (with the ability to purchase more), a generous pensions scheme, flexible working opportunities, a commitment to your development and wellbeing, a wide range of retail discounts, and much more.
