The University of Huddersfield is seeking a part-time Assistant Finance Business Partner to support the financial management of its large and diverse Estates & Facilities directorate.
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner (Estates & Facilities), you will work closely with tenants, budget holders and colleagues across the directorate, providing high-quality financial information, insight, and support to enable effective decision-making and delivery of the Estates Strategy.
You will play a key role in managing service charge recharging for the Emily Siddon Building and other tenanted properties across the University estate. This will include overseeing designated budgets, coordinating month-end and year-end processes, and preparing clear financial information to support both operational and strategic decisions.
Educated to degree level or with equivalent professional experience, you will be a qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent, or AAT Level 4 or above) and committed to ongoing professional development. You’ll bring experience of working with multiple stakeholders in a large or complex organisation, along with excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. You will also be confident using Microsoft 365, be digitally-focused, and quick to adapt to new financial systems. A strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, outstanding customer service, and the University’s values is essential.
We offer an excellent employment package, including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all.
