We are seeking an organised, detail-oriented colleague to join the Library’s well regarded, friendly Open Research team. This post is focused on our Open Access research publications repository, CentAUR.

As a part-time, permanent post, the Senior Library Assistant will work with academic and professional services stakeholders to maximise the visibility and reputation of the University’s research publications. You will work alongside another Senior Library Assistant and the Open Research Administrator to review and add records to CentAUR and to provide assistance to researchers using the system. You will contribute to reviewing and amending workflow policies and processes for the repository, and help provide administrative support for the Open Research team.

You will have:

  • A good general education to at least A Level standard or equivalent
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Familiarity with Library catalogues and databases
  • Experience of data input or editing
  • Strong IT skills (including familiarity with Windows, MS Office)

This is a 0.5 FTE, permanent professional services post. It requires 18 hours per week to be worked in no less than three days per week throughout the year. One of the days worked should be a Wednesday. It is a campus based role.
