About the role:
Applications are encouraged for a Research Associate position, which is embedded within a large, international consortium advancing the integration of local data and knowledge into global hydrological and water system models. You will design and deliver an ambitious work package aimed at catalysing and scaling the co-production, stewardship, and effective use of local data for water security.
What you would be doing:
You will work within a highly interdisciplinary and international environment, collaborating closely with experts in research software engineering, technological innovation, environmental policy, and development studies.
Key activities will include the benchmarking and evaluation of non-conventional data sources (e.g. participatory monitoring, citizen science, and local expert knowledge, among others); the prototyping and experimental deployment of novel sensing and data-processing technologies; and the development of new approaches to inclusive, equitable, and impactful co-production of data and knowledge.
You will develop a strong publication record in leading peer-reviewed journals and to contribute proactively to the acquisition of external research funding.
