Getting the right applicants enrolled onto the right course is key to all activities undertaken by Student Recruitment and Marketing and in this role you will work in collaboration with a Marketing Manager to coordinate the development of a college/school marketing and recruitment strategy and agree and implement an annual action plan to achieve annual admissions, student recruitment and widening access targets and support the transition from applicant to new student.
Located within Student Recruitment and Marketing service, this is a busy role where you will have responsibility for managing the relationship between senior management within the nominated College/School and the Student Recruitment and Admissions Department to ensure the provision of a service which identifies and supports the student recruitment and admissions business needs (domestic and international) of the College and the University.
You will draft operational reports, management information and market research required to support the achievement of targets across the recruitment cycle and maximise conversion at each stage of the applicant journey; provide regular progress reports and insights back to stakeholders of recruitment against target, and respond to stakeholder queries and concerns.
You will be required to influence, contribute and build the student recruitment knowledge and understanding of key stakeholders (College Executive, Heads of School, Course Leaders, Admissions Tutors, Student Recruitment and Admissions and other professional service staff members) to ensure an optimal cross-university approach to student recruitment and admissions activities.
This role includes line management of a Student Recruitment and Marketing Officer who is responsible for coordinating the delivery of student recruitment events and activities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical to this role and you will be able to demonstrate the ability to work confidently with a wide range of stakeholders, build strong relationships, understand a variety of viewpoints, resolve difficult issues and tailor your approach in a way that is relevant to a particular audience.
You will demonstrate a positive, proactive and customer focused approach to ensure the delivery of an excellent enquirer and applicant experience.
You will possess excellent planning and organisational skills and be able to collate, analyse and present market intelligence to assist the College/School and University in promoting itself, identifying market opportunities and increasing conversion rates. You will be able to carry out detailed assessment and analysis of complex issues and problems using specialist knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.
In this role, you’ll be based at our modern Frenchay Campus.
You’ll spend most of your time on campus, typically 40% percent of your time, with the opportunity to work from home on the remaining days.
