About the role:
The Research Assistant will join an international interdisciplinary team funded through the British Heart Foundation Programme Grant (My Heart Counts). The role focuses on developing and maintaining data pipelines for smartphone, wearable, molecular and clinical datasets to advance early detection and monitoring of pulmonary arterial hypertension. You will work closely with computational scientists, clinicians, biologists and international collaborators including Stanford, Cambridge and Sheffield, contributing to new AI models and translational research across NHS and academic sites.
What you would be doing:
Support and develop data pipelines for My Heart Counts smartphone app data and integrate with biological (omics), clinical and environmental datasets; manage cloud resources (Google Cloud) and ensure data integrity and reliability; assist researchers across institutions with data queries and troubleshooting; perform descriptive and quantitative data analyses and maintain accurate records; support preparation of reports for sponsors and contribute to publications; present work at internal meetings, conferences and workshops; provide guidance to staff and students and contribute to grant bids.
