The role
Bristol Veterinary School is seeking a Veterinary Nursing Clinical Demonstrator (Teaching Associate) to join our dedicated team supporting both veterinary nursing and veterinary students. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing community of veterinary educators within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
Working closely with the academic veterinary nursing team, colleagues across the wider veterinary school, and specialist nurses, clinicians, and support staff, you will help deliver highquality learning experiences for first-, second-, and fourth year students in an academic environment. You will also support third year veterinary nursing students during their rotations in our referral teaching hospitals, first opinion practice at Langford, and external placement sites.
The role involves a blend of classroom and practical teaching, along with participation in assessments and broader educational activities across the veterinary school.
What will you be doing?
You will play an important role in enhancing the student experience. As a practitioner with clinical experience and a passion for teaching, you will work to support the students in their learning. You will provide feedback and contribute to assessment as well as supporting the administration associated with formal university teaching. As part of the educational team, you will be supported to contribute to the development of teaching and assessment and research outputs in the area of veterinary education.
You should apply if
You are passionate about supporting and inspiring the next generation of veterinary nurses and veterinary professionals.
You have experience working as a registered veterinary nurse and want to share your expertise in a supportive academic setting. Please note for internal candidates this role will be offered as a secondment, subject to agreement with your current line manager.
