About the Role
Queen Mary University of London is looking for an experienced marketing professional at either the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level to enhance the integration of industry practice within its Department of Marketing. The post holder will deliver high‑quality, practice‑informed teaching, contribute to curriculum development, and support student employability through strong engagement with industry partners and professional bodies. They will maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of marketing practice, build professional networks, and participate in outreach and public engagement activities. The role also involves supporting student experience, acting as an Academic Advisor, and contributing to wider School initiatives. A postholder at the Senior Lecturer level will be expected to provide additional leadership, mentor colleagues, and contribute to pedagogical scholarship.
About You
You will be an experienced marketing professional with either a PhD, a relevant qualification, or significant industry expertise, ideally supported by membership of a recognised marketing body. You will bring up‑to‑date, applied knowledge across various marketing areas, along with experience of teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level. You excel at communicating complex ideas, building professional relationships, and supporting students’ learning and wellbeing. You are proactive, collegial, and able to influence industry partners, while maintaining a strong professional profile and clear plans for future development, scholarship and contribution to the School.
