About the Role 
 
The University of Oxford is seeking a motivated PPIE Lead and Coordinator to support an exciting research programme focused on improving blood and transplant safety through genomics.
You will lead the development and delivery of patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) activities, working closely with researchers, patients, donors, and community groups. This role involves organising engagement events, supporting research teams with PPIE strategy, and building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
 
We are looking for someone with experience in PPIE, communications, or stakeholder engagement, who is passionate about inclusive research and can communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences. To Join a collaborative, impactful programme and help shape research that benefits patients and the public.
 
About the Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine 
 
The Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine (NDM) is one of the largest departments of the University of Oxford and is part of the Medical Sciences Division, with responsibility for a significant part of the teaching of clinical students within the Medical School.

About You
 
The post holder will be Educated to PhD level in a relevant research or social science field, or have relevant experience (e.g. PPIE, communications, project or stakeholder management, or research).
With excellent and effective communication skills and an awareness of the importance of equality, diversity and inclusivity in PPIE activities. The post holder will be an effective team player who is able to assume responsibility for individual projects, managing projects from planning to successful completion, along with experience of the evaluation of the impact of activities and analysis of the data
produced.
 
The post is part time (30 hours per week) and fixed term until 31st March 2027
