Saïd Business School’s Development and Alumni Relations team is among the most successful in Oxford, having secured over £100 million in philanthropic income in recent years.
As we enter an ambitious new phase of growth, we are looking for a talented Alumni Events Officer to help deliver an inspiring and impactful programme of events that strengthens our global alumni and supporter community.
Reporting to the Events Manager (Alumni and Supporter Engagement), you will play a central role in designing and delivering a dynamic portfolio of in-person, hybrid and online events. These range from large-scale alumni reunions and international engagements to webinars, student initiatives and exclusive donor events.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a diverse programme of alumni and supporter events, both in-person and online
- Support international and special interest group events in partnership with alumni volunteers
- Develop and deliver targeted communications and promotional content, including social media
- Process event-related expenditure, including requisitions and expense reconciliation
- Provide administrative support, including travel arrangements and logistics
You will have proven experience in planning and delivering events within a professional, fast-paced environment, supported by strong administrative skills. You will be confident managing virtual and hybrid events, building and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders, and handling budgets and financial processes. A proactive, results-driven approach is essential, with the ability to use feedback and data to continuously improve and innovate.
