De Montfort University is an ambitious, globally-minded institution with a strong focus on delivering quality teaching and learning and a campus-wide focus on providing a sector-leading student experience. As a culturally rich university with a deep commitment to the public good, the DMU community strives to maintain a stimulating and inclusive environment where staff and students are able to thrive. The University prides itself as being a vibrant, multicultural hub of learning, creativity and innovation.
Faculty / Directorate

D&T works alongside Faculties and Directories ensuring DMU has the right teaching and business technologies to continue to be a University at the leading edge.
Role
Shape digital experiences at De Montfort University as a UX Interaction Designer. You’ll design intuitive, accessible platforms across devices, working with cross-functional teams to turn user insights into effective solutions. From wireframes and user flows to high-fidelity prototypes, you’ll deliver and refine user-centred designs using research, testing, and Agile approaches. You’ll champion UX best practice and accessibility, create engaging and consistent interfaces, and maintain design standards, assets, and documentation to support continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a creative, user-focused UX Interaction Designer with strong technical design skills and a collaborative mindset, passionate about delivering accessible, high-quality digital experiences that meet both user and organisational needs. You’ll bring experience in UX/UI design, including wireframes, user flows, prototyping, and visual design, alongside a strong understanding of usability, accessibility, and user-centred principles. You’ll be proficient in design tools, UX writing and microcopy, and working with cross-functional teams, with excellent communication skills, a solutions-focused approach, and a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
