The Marketing Lead is a senior role within DMU London, reporting to the Head of Campus Operations with a dotted line to the Head of Marketing. The role leads the development and delivery of marketing, communications, and student recruitment activity, ensuring a consistent, high-quality approach that raises awareness and meets recruitment targets.
This is both a strategic and hands-on position, responsible for maintaining high standards and coherence across all marketing activity. The post holder will work closely with academic colleagues in London and professional services teams in Leicester to ensure strong collaboration, aligned messaging, and an excellent prospective student journey. As DMU London continues to grow, the role will help shape the campus proposition, enhance campaigns, and support recruitment and wider university priorities.
As Marketing Lead, you will plan and deliver all marketing, communications, and recruitment activity for DMU London, aligning with the university’s brand and strategy. You will build strong relationships across teams, including Creative Hub, Campaigns, and Business Partnering, to deliver integrated activity, while leading and developing a high-performing team.
You will create and implement annual UK and international marketing and recruitment plans, ensuring campaigns, digital activity, content, and events support recruitment goals. You will monitor performance, evaluate impact, and use data and insight to improve outcomes.
Working with colleagues across London and Leicester—including Marketing, Communications, and Future Students teams—you will ensure consistent, high-quality messaging. You will also collaborate with external partners to deliver innovative marketing solutions.
The role includes leading multi-channel campaigns across digital, social, web, and events, ensuring content is audience-focused and on brand. You will promote the DMU London offer, support portfolio development with academic teams, and contribute to new course promotion. You will also lead key recruitment events such as Open Days.
You will manage the London marketing budget effectively and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
We are seeking an experienced marketing professional with a strong track record in delivering campaigns, driving recruitment, and leading teams. You will be skilled in stakeholder engagement, data-driven decision-making, and project management, with a creative and proactive approach and a strong understanding of digital marketing and audience engagement.
