We are seeking a motivated Research Associate to work within the PAL laboratory within the School of Biosciences at the University of Kent.
This role is funded by the British Heart Foundation for investigating the assembly of multi-protein complexes in congenital heart defects. The successful candidate will work on a cutting-edge experimental research project involving assemblies of multi-protein complexes. The project combines biochemistry, biophysics, and structural biology. The structural biology part of the project will involve multi-protein complex assemblies, single-particle cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) and X-ray crystallography. The role will also include developing research objectives, conducting research, writing research work for publication, and liaising with national and international collaborators. There will also be an opportunity to learn cell biology to complement the structural biology work.
