The Tutoring and Support Academic Lead will take a leading role in the implementation of the Greenwich Tutoring Framework for the University and act as the academic lead for embedding academic & digital skills in the curriculum, as part of our Curriculum Shape project.

Duties and responsibilities will typically include working as part of a team to:

  • Lead the implementation of the institution wide Greenwich Tutoring Framework for taught programmes leading to the delivery of agreed objectives for the Student Success Sub-Strategy.
  • Keep the Greenwich Tutoring Framework and related processes and roles under review, based on staff and student feedback and other strategic developments, to ensure that it delivers on supporting our continuation aims and students’ academic achievement.
  • Liaise with faculties, faculty senior tutors, professional services (including the Student Engagement Team, Student Services and Student Registry) and Greenwich Students’ Union to ensure that the Faculty Student Advisor role is consistently implemented across the university.
  • Provide academic leadership for embedding academic and digital skills in the curriculum, working with the Curriculum Shape team and the Academic & Digital Skills team to provide both asynchronous and synchronous guidance and resources for programme teams.
  • Contribute to the development of support mechanisms to ensure that there is effective support for the teaching of academic & digital skills within the curriculum, post Curriculum Shape re-design.
