We are looking for a Academic Administration Officer to come and be a key member of the Academic Administration Team supporting the administration of NDCN’s diverse, world-leading undergraduate teaching and postgraduate research & taught programmes of study. You will provide a professional, high-quality, customer-focused service, assisting the team, academics, students, Expert Patient Tutors, teaching faculty and other colleagues in professional support teams by assisting the Senior Academic Administration Officer with the administration of the module(s) which NDCN contributes to the undergraduate medical degrees, under the overall supervision of the Academic Administration Manager.
 
The Department delivers:
  • Preclinical neurosciences teaching for the Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) course (Year 1 and 2) (each delivered once yearly)
  • The Year 5 / GEM Year 3 Clinical Neo module (a 7-week course delivered six times yearly to a total cohort of c. 185 students), and
  • The 6th Year Anaesthetics Special Studies Module (two-week rolling programme
In addition, you will support the NDCN Academic Administration Team with graduate administration when required. To be successful in the post you will require initiative, flexibility, good attention to detail, excellent communication skills and an ability to respond quickly, efficiently and sensitively to situations where arrangements may need to be changed at short notice. Training will be provided wherever required. This post is full time (part time 29.2 hours / 0.8 FTE would be considered) and fixed term for 3 years.
