Working closely with colleagues across HR and the wider University and reporting to Workforce Data and MI Manager, you will help shape our data strategy, ensuring leaders have timely and accurate insight to support planning, performance, and delivery of institutional priorities. You’ll play a key role in preparing and coordinating the University’s statutory HESA staff data return, ensuring high standards of data quality, regulatory compliance, and timely submission to national bodies.

You will have :

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to offer evidence-based insight from analysis of complex data
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports or automated data solutions using tools such as Power BI, Excel, Business Objects, or similar
  • A strong understanding of workforce, HR or organisational data and the ability to translate business needs into analytical outputs
  • Experience ensuring data quality, accuracy and compliance within complex organisations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to explain analytical findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Experience in preparation and successful submission of relevant HE workforce datasets and management information such as HESA, REF, TEF etc.
  • Experience working in higher education setting
