Applications are invited for a temporary appointment as Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Psychology at the UCD School of Psychology. The specified purpose contract is justified on objective grounds, namely to facilitate the temporary replacement of a staff member whose time is being bought out to undertake duties associated with a European Research Council (ERC) grant. This arrangement supports the University’s legitimate objective of enabling staff to fulfil externally funded research commitments, while ensuring continuity of teaching, administrative, and related duties. The contract is strictly limited to the duration and scope of the buyout period and is necessary to provide interim cover for those duties.
