The Fire Safety Adviser is a vital, high-profile role, you will take the lead on fire safety, using your specialist fire safety knowledge to:
As a member of the Health and Safety Team you will work with all the University’s academic College’s and Professional Services.
About you
You should have substantial experience and a comprehensive practical knowledge of fire safety in the UK, having worked within large, complex organisations with a broad range of fire safety risks.
Your experience should include completing fire risk assessments, and developing, implementing, and managing fire risk assessment programmes.
You will have an IQ Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety or other equivalent level 4 fire safety qualification and will meet the competency criteria for fire risk assessors. Ideally you will be a graduate member of the IFE or other relevant professional body.
IT skills with experience across MS Office is essential especially word and excel. The role will require extensive utilisation of these packages for analysing data, monitoring and management of fire risk assessment actions and producing reports to all levels at the University.
