Our mission is to enable and empower students to thrive at a world-leading university. We are committed to diversity, inclusivity, and cultural competence, and we pride ourselves on delivering an outstanding student experience that combines academic excellence with holistic support.

About the role

The Student Support Officer sits within the Student Experience Team supporting the development and delivery of an enhanced and distinctive student experience within King’s Foundations.  This role is central to ensuring that students are fully engaged with their studies and are supported to succeed, contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

The postholder will also contribute to ensuring that processes are efficient and aligned with compliance and audit expectations.

The postholder will also support under 18 learners through enhanced monitoring and safeguarding processes. The role will provide first line wellbeing and signposting support, working closely with Senior Tutors, academic staff and professional services colleagues across King’s.

Additionally, the post holder will work as a conduit between central services, including Admissions and the visa team, the King’s Foundation Programmes Team, Senior Tutors and teaching staff. Ensuring that policy updates are communicated to staff and students, and that student engagement is maintained. The role will also contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and systems, supporting the development of clear guidance and efficient workflows to enhance the overall student experience.
