We have an exciting opportunity in the School of History Philosophy and Digital Humanities, within the Faculty of Arts & Humanities, to join our Professional Service Team in our large and diverse School.
You will provide general administrative support for the School as part of the wider Operations team, often as a first point of contact for queries which they will direct as necessary. You will be line managed by the Operations Manager.
You will provide assistance across a number of administrative functions; you will work in support of more senior staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the School. In addition, you will provide administrative support to school staff, for example in booking travel and making purchases.
You will undertake a range of tasks in a range of areas including support for financial administration tasks, organising and supporting School events and meetings and keeping School information up to date, and support for staff recruitment. You will also play a key role in supporting senior staff in their work, for example by generating reports, inputting information and following up where needed.
The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills. We are looking for a candidate with a flexible, confident and enthusiastic approach to work. Excellent time management skills along with the ability to work on a range of tasks in a timely and accurate way.
