Remote Position
The University of Greenwich has an ambitious strategy to 2030 entitled This is Our Time. An important priority within the strategy is to establish an excellent online learning provision, establishing new innovative programmes along with supporting existing provision to develop further.
Programme Leads are essential to the success of our online ambitions and will be joining at an exciting time as we create an online education offer that proactively supports our students. They will have oversight of a programme within the online portfolio, undertake lead duties on the first module and line manage module leads and module tutors. It should be noted that this role will be offered starting as 0.5 from 1st September and increasing to a full-time position in September 2028. The substantive position for this role is Senior Lecturer in the advertised field.
We are looking for applicants who have programme/module design experience and have previously taught as part of a fully online programme. You will understand quality, regulatory and policy requirements for delivering HE education and experience of working to these expectations. An excellent communicator, you will use your leadership skills to motivate module teams, collaborate effectively with University stakeholders and lead programme direction.
In return you’ll get to work with colleagues passionate about growing quality online education at an exciting time for Greenwich. Awarded Gold in the 2023 Teaching Excellence Framework, the University has a growing reputation for teaching and learning. Through Greenwich Online we aim to enable greater access to education, cultivating an experience that promotes flexibility and supports our students.
