Assistant Professor/Lecturer in Creative Writing (Permanent)

The Role

We are seeking an outstanding writer to join our staff as an Assistant Professor in Creative Writing. The person appointed will have a proven record of publication and teaching, appropriate to career stage, and will demonstrate excellence in the field of creative writing. They will be expected to make a strong contribution to the teaching programme of the Department now that a new BA in Creative Writing and English has been launched, undertaking teaching duties on the Department’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as well as the supervision of Masters’ and PhD students.

The appointee will be expected to build a strong publication profile that supports the University’s research strategy, including affiliating to the Research Institutes and other Departments where appropriate, and working with colleagues on national and international levels. The appointee will be expected to generate creative publications of international standard.
