Campus Services are looking for a University Guarantor Officer to play a key role in delivering and developing our in-house Guarantor Scheme. This service provides essential support for eligible students seeking private rented housing and helps ensure they can secure suitable accommodation while the University maintains responsible financial oversight.

This is a part-time position, working 18 hours over 4 days (4.5 hours per day).

As our University Guarantor Officer, you will:
This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll work closely with the Student Accommodation Revenue & Capacity Manager and colleagues across Campus Services, Student Support, Wellbeing and Student Money Advice.
About you
We’re looking for someone with solid experience in student support, housing, customer service or a similar administrative environment, who is confident interpreting tenancy documents and navigating key private-rental processes. You’ll be highly organised, able to stay calm under pressure, and skilled at prioritising during busy periods, all while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Clear, confident communication is essential, as you’ll work closely with students, landlords and colleagues, translating complex information into clear, accessible guidance. While not essential, it would be an advantage if you bring knowledge of housing legislation, guarantor responsibilities, consumer rights, or experience within higher education or accommodation services. An understanding of compliance, risk monitoring, financial processes or service-improvement work would also be highly valued.
