About The Role

The School of Management, part of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Swansea University, is a research-intensive business school with a strong reputation for impactful, interdisciplinary research. The School has demonstrated excellence in research impact, with a significant proportion of outputs recognised as world-leading or internationally excellent.

This post is embedded within All-Wales Intensive Learning Academy for Innovation in Health and Social care (Innovation ILA) and a research environment that brings together academic expertise across innovation, management, and societal transformation. Innovation ILA works closely with partners across public, private, and third sectors to understand and support innovation in complex systems, including health, social care, and regional development.

The role is also closely aligned with the School’s Innovation Intensive Learning Academy (ILA) and wider REF & Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) portfolio, which focuses on accelerating the translation of research into real-world impact. These activities include collaboration with Welsh Government, NHS organisations, industry partners, and third sector organisations to co-develop solutions to societal and organisational challenges.

This ESRC-IAA funded project focuses on strengthening the University’s capacity to capture, evidence, and communicate research impact. It will support the development of multiple REF Impact Case Studies by building structured evidence, engaging stakeholders, and developing sustainable approaches to impact generation and evaluation.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative environment that operates at the interface of research, policy, and practice, with opportunities to contribute to high-quality research outputs, stakeholder engagement, and future funding development.
