We are looking for a successful, experienced primary teaching colleague to support primary English provision in our Initial Teacher Education courses.
Our new team member will demonstrate a specialism in teaching and learning in primary English, including early reading and phonics. The successful person will know and understand current and effective teaching approaches across the primary phase and may also be expected to contribute to other primary subject areas and professional development programmes across our provision.

About the role
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a specialism in teaching and learning in primary English, including early reading and phonics. The successful person will have knowledge and understanding of current and effective teaching approaches across the primary phase and may also be expected to contribute to other primary subject areas and professional development programmes across our provision.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging teaching materials to support students’ learning. You will exemplify best teaching practices, ensuring our students experience innovative and up-to-date pedagogical approaches that they can apply in their own classrooms.
Working closely with partnership school and university colleagues, you will contribute to the planning, teaching and assessment of our ITE curriculum, ensuring alignment with national standards and best practices.
As part of this role, you will also be involved in personal tutoring, offering academic and professional guidance to students. Your work will directly impact the quality of teacher education across Gloucestershire, preparing future educators to thrive in diverse school environments and make a lasting impact on their students.
