We are seeking a motivated and talented research assistant with an interest in brain ageing research, dementia or cognitive disorders to join the Cognitive Neurology team led by Prof Masud Husain to play a key role in Wellcome Trust funded research on apathy, anhedonia and depression across neurological disorders. 

The post is full time and funded for two years. 

The role will involve a range of activities including face-to-face interactions with patients; data management and analysis; assisting the Principal Investigators to ensure the smooth running of the research studies; and contribution to writing ethical approvals and research papers for publication. 

You will hold a first degree in psychology, neuroscience or other relevant area of discipline with excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities and resources. Experience of conducting behavioural or cognitive studies and data handling and analysis using statistical packages is essential. 

As the post involves working in clinical areas with direct contact with patients a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be needed.
