The School of History is seeking to employ an individual who is passionate about inspiring and supporting our students with research led teaching.
We are looking for an individual who can teach across a wide range of modules across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with the expertise to teach both specialist modules in modern European history, and other modules across our BA History and BA International History and Politics degrees, as well as our postgraduate degrees. The successful candidate will be responsible for convening and teaching on HIST3390 The Soviet 60s: Politics and Society in the USSR 1953-1968 and HIST2309 Communist Eastern Europe, 1945-89, as well as teaching on modules in international history such as HIST1840 Consensus and Contention: Investigations in International History and HIST2900 International History and Politics Long Essay and in modern history such as HIST1000 Exploring History and HIST1530 The Making of the Twentieth Century. The successful candidate would also supervise undergraduate dissertations/final year projects, and would likely teach at MA level, such as on HIST5720M Revolution and Rebirth: Eastern Europe and the USSR, 1985-99.
