- THE ROLE -

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Research Associate to support research projects taking place within and funded by the Centre for People’s Justice. Funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), the Centre is a collaboration between 7 Universities across the UK (University of Glasgow, University of Sheffield, Ulster University, Swansea University, Wrexham University, and the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, London) and nearly 40 other organisations.

The post holder will play a key role in implementing the Centre’s research programme, which is organised around three workstreams: Crafting Law, Performing Law and Legal Literacies and Legacies. They will contribute to a variety of research projects across these three workstreams and will also be expected to contribute to the Centre’s overall research environment through, for example, contributing to the Centre’s training and education programme, co-writing research outputs, and co-developing proposals for additional funding.

- ABOUT YOU -

- A degree (or equivalent qualification) in a field relevant to social justice research, such as law, social sciences, criminology, politics, geography, journalism or history.
- Hold a PhD (or near completion with thesis submitted) in a field relevant to social justice research. 
- Experience of working with a range of stakeholders, including members of the public and non-academic practitioners.
- Experience of different research methods relevant to social justice-related projects (e.g. qualitative, quantitative, participatory and/or creative methods).
- Experience in collecting, managing, analysing and reporting on research data (e.g., interviews, focus groups, observation, surveys).
