TechnologyOne Technical Lead

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 17:00 hrs.

Technology plays a central role in supporting teaching, learning, research, student experience, and the day to day operation of the University. TechnologyOne sits at the heart of many of these activities, supporting key areas including Finance, HR and Payroll, and Student Management. We are therefore looking for a TechnologyOne Technical Lead to provide technical ownership, coordination, and continuous improvement of this critical platform.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a visible impact across the institution. Working closely with colleagues in Finance, HR, Student Services, MIS and IT Services, you will help ensure that TechnologyOne continues to evolve in a way that supports the needs of the University while maintaining a stable, well governed, and sustainable platform.

We are looking for somebody who combines strong systems knowledge with a practical and collaborative approach. You will be comfortable getting hands on with configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades and vendor engagement, whilst also working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, identify improvements, and ensure the platform is delivering value to the University.

This is not a purely technical administration role, nor is it a purely project or business analysis position. We are looking for somebody who enjoys bridging the gap between technology and operational needs, helping colleagues understand system capabilities and ensuring changes are implemented effectively.

The successful candidate will act as the University's primary technical lead for TechnologyOne, coordinating upgrades, managing vendor relationships, conducting system administration, and helping ensure the platform remains aligned with operational requirements. You will work closely with colleagues across the University to support enhancements, improve processes, and strengthen the overall resilience and supportability of the platform.

We recognise that excellent candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds. Whilst experience of TechnologyOne would be advantageous, we would also welcome applications from candidates with experience supporting other enterprise platforms such as ERP, Finance, HR, Payroll, Student Records, CRM, or other complex business systems. We are interested in finding someone with the right approach, curiosity, and ability to build strong relationships as much as specific platform experience.
