We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and proactive events and communications professional with a passion for innovation, science and community building to join our friendly team at the BioEscalator, Oxford’s biomedical start-up incubator.
This varied and hands-on role will support the delivery of the BioEscalator’s programme of business-focused events and engagement activities, alongside communications activity across digital and print channels. Working in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment, you will collaborate with start-ups, researchers, industry partners and colleagues across the University of Oxford.
Working closely with the Business Manager, Innovation Project Manager and communications specialists, you will deliver events, develop engaging communications content and support initiatives that strengthen the BioEscalator community and raise its profile across the innovation ecosystem. You will help showcase the innovative work taking place within the BioEscalator and strengthen engagement with tenants, alumni, partners and wider audiences.
With previous experience of working in an events management role, you will have a track record of organising successful events in a variety of formats and for a range of audiences. Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills are essential, together with the ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
The BioEscalator supports the development and growth of pioneering early-stage life sciences companies. Located on the University’s Old Road Campus, it provides laboratory and office space alongside a vibrant innovation community and business support programme.

This position is full-time and offered as a fixed-term contract until 10 September 2027 to cover maternity leave. The role can be offered as a secondment opportunity for internal candidates.
