University College London (UCL) is a university with a population of over 43,800 undergraduate and postgraduate students from more than 150 different countries. UCL is committed to being a world leader in the integration of education and research, underpinning an inspirational student experience. For more information see: www.ucl.ac.uk In one of the most significant developments in its history, University College London has now expanded to its new East London campus, UCL East, located on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. UCL East is dedicated to disruptive thinking and discovery across disciplines and beyond academic boundaries, addressing some of the biggest challenges for future living. The campus is located in Newham, one of the most socially diverse boroughs in London, and we are committed to ensuring our staff community reflects this diversity.
The first UCL East buildings opened between 2022 and 2023 and bring together academic activities across experiments, arts, society and technology, integrating research and education, theory and practice. With a strong focus on cross-disciplinarity, innovation and public engagement, the campus hosts new research, technology and innovation initiatives alongside undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes for up to 4,000 students. This post sits within the Manufacturing Futures Lab (MFL) in the Marshgate Building at UCL East, which hosts nearly 2,000 m² of collaborative research and laboratory space. The MFL is a cross-faculty hub bringing together researchers from the UCL Departments of Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Chemistry.
