We are seeking a Data Scientist to support the research and impact activities of Professor Alex Singleton and work within the research and data services team as part of the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI)-funded Geographic Data Service (GeoDS - www.geods.ac.uk). The Geographic Data Service leads academic collaboration with industry, government, and the third sector to extract value from Smart Data and enable groundbreaking research. Our mission is to employ geographic methodologies that integrate diverse Smart Data sources with nationally representative administrative and statistical data. We identify economic and social inequalities within and between regions, conduct research into their underlying causes, and inform policies aimed at alleviating disparities, fostering greater prosperity and equal opportunities for all.
