The Department of Classics and Archaeology at the University of Nottingham is looking to appoint a Teaching Associate in Classics (Greek-focussed).

Your role as a Teaching Associate will be varied and challenging and you will be able to demonstrate a strong teaching ability in classics. You will be responsible for convening and teaching Ancient Greek from Beginner’s to Advanced level, and convening and contributing to the undergraduate modules Extended Source Study, Interpreting Ancient Art and Archaeology, and Dissertations. You will also contribute to Study Classical Scholarship and supervise undergraduate and taught postgraduate dissertations. You may also contribute to undergraduate teaching on broader first year introductory modules where appropriate.
You must have a PhD already awarded in a relevant subject area or to be awarded by time of appointment and show evidence of ability to teach in the areas outlined above.

This is a part-time 0.8fte (29 hours per week), fixed-term post commencing 1 September 2026 until 31 August 2027.
