About the Role
This postdoctoral position supports a Cancer Research UK-funded research programme investigating epithelial cell heterogeneity during the initiation of pancreatic cancer, with a particular focus on how these cells interact with their microenvironment.
The successful candidate will employ cutting-edge single-cell and spatial transcriptomics approaches in both human and mouse tissues to characterise epithelial diversity. Findings will be validated using complementary methodologies, including mouse models, confocal microscopy, spatial proteomics, and 3D organoid co-culture systems.
The overarching aim of the project is to advance our understanding of the early events in pancreatic cancer development, ultimately informing improved strategies for diagnosis and intervention.
About You
The successful candidate will undertake research investigations in collaboration with and under the supervision of Dr Beatriz Salvador in order to realise the objectives and development of the research programme.
