The opportunity
Join one of the world's most influential fashion programmes and help shape the next generation of creative talent at Central Saint Martins.
We are seeking an ambitious and forward-thinking academic practitioner and designer to share the leadership of Stage One on our internationally renowned BA Fashion course. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in defining the student experience, inspiring emerging designers and contributing to the continued evolution of this dynamic course.
Working collaboratively with the other Joint Stage One Leaders, you will provide academic leadership that fosters an inclusive, innovative and intellectually rigorous learning environment. You will help shape the structure and direction of the course, ensuring that teaching and learning remain responsive to the changing landscape of fashion, design education and contemporary society.
Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will cultivate meaningful partnerships across industry, research and the wider creative sector, strengthening the course's international reputation and ensuring our curriculum remains connected to professional practice. You will champion excellence in teaching and learning, inspire colleagues, and contribute to a culture of collaboration, experimentation and continuous improvement.
About you
We are looking for an experienced fashion practitioner with a strong track record of teaching and leadership in higher education. You will hold both an undergraduate degree and a master's qualification in a relevant discipline, alongside evidence of research, professional practice or knowledge exchange that contributes to innovation within fashion design. You will bring experience of developing collaborative partnerships, managing academic resources and supporting teaching teams, together with the digital confidence needed to lead effectively within a contemporary learning environment.
