The Role
We are recruiting a Team Leader Collections and Discovery Services to join our Library and help shape the future of collections and discovery services. This is an exciting time to join the team as we play a key role in supporting the University to deliver on its ambitious Strategy 2030.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the university and with external partners and networks, the post holder will play a key role in driving innovation and change within their areas of responsibility.
The post holder is responsible for the planning, development and performance management of Collections and Discovery Services and Archives and Collections, and reports to the Director of Student Life.
The Collections and Discovery Services team is responsible for managing the acquisition and delivery of content, for both campus-based students and collaborative partnership arrangements. This includes e-resource management, subscription reviews, document delivery, metadata services and the management and development of the systems supporting these activities.
The successful candidate will have skills and experience in staff management, licensing matters and supplier negotiations.
