Annual Leave: 25 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

Location: College Lane Campus 

Main duties and responsibilities

In this varied and fast-paced role, you will take the lead in coordinating and delivering a wide range of engagement initiatives, including high-profile events, communications activities, and enterprise activities that support the School’s strategic priorities. You will be responsible for managing and enhancing the School’s digital presence, ensuring SharePoint, internal communications, and social media platforms provide clear, engaging, and compliant content that showcases achievements and opportunities. 

Working collaboratively across the School, you will build strong relationships with academic and professional services colleagues, senior leaders, and external stakeholders to drive engagement and partnership activity. You will develop and deliver an annual communications and engagement plan, while also providing guidance and support to colleagues on digital tools and content best practice. 

Skills and experience required

We are looking for someone with Significant marketing and communications work experience, and the ability to demonstrate developed communication skills, you will have previous Project management experience across multiple concurrent projects. You will have excellent written communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to produce, source, interpret and write high-quality content. Detailed knowledge of digital marketing and social media channels and excellent organisational and administrative abilities are essential for this role.

You will have practical IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other common applications. You will be able to manage projects successfully and within budget, whilst taking a proactive and solution-based approach.

Being committed to improving the quality of communications, working collaboratively as an effective team player and taking a client focused approach with a service oriented mindset are all essential for this role.

Qualifications required

Educated with a minimum of a Degree in Communications and/or Marketing or equivalent, or proven relevant professional experience.
