Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS) harnesses academic excellence to drive real-world impact, transforming individuals, organisations and society.
A highly ranked, modern business school within an 800-year-old institution, CJBS blends tradition with innovation. The Strategy and International Business group now seeks to appoint a research scholar in Strategy at either Assistant or Associate Professor level.
The Strategy and International Business group focuses on critical issues affecting organisations and their leaders, using an interdisciplinary approach. Our research spans strategy, organisation theory, and international business, contributing to both academic and business communities. We explore how corporations handle disruptive events and compete globally amidst diverse socio-political and economic influences. A key feature is our research on achieving competitive viability while managing social and environmental impacts through governance systems. The Business School enjoys frequent visits from world-class scholars and has the resources to invite leading scholars to spend between one and 3 months working with faculty on research projects.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in strategy, international business or a related discipline and will have a record of impactful research, evidenced by publications and a strong paper pipeline. They will possess excellent teaching experience in premium business school degree programs or executive education engagements. Project administration and dissertation supervision are also expected. The appointment will be made at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level, depending on the candidate's experience. Appointments may be made with or without tenure, depending on the candidate's record. For those appointed on a tenure track, a decision will be made within five years.
We anticipate the start date to be between 1 September 2027.
Closing Date: 15th September 2026
